As Chief Executive Officer (CEO) I oversee RealDolmen’s daily operations and I work closely with the board on the local and international growth strategy of the company.
Before joining this unique and challenging industrial project in June 2007 I worked for almost 6 years as Country General Manager of Microsoft BeLux. After Antwerp-based jobs at Hessenatie, Ebes and Agfa-Gevaert I started more than 20 years ago my ICT career as a sales representative at Digital, later I was in charge of the startup of Oracle and Lotus in Belgium. After the acquisition of Lotus by IBM in 1995 I occupied several operational management positions to grow sales in Benelux, Nordic, Eastern Europe and Europe. Apart from my knowledge about the local and international software solutions market I’m also someone who is very familiar with the history and the culture of both Real Software and Dolmen. Our 20 year “careers” ran in parallel …
On top of that I’m a strong believer that we move more and more to a knowledge society in our region. Future jobs and wealth should come from a knowledge and network economy where technology and related services play a crucial role. Therefore I’m also active in the local ICT sector with board mandates in startups such as City Live, i-venture and IBBT, a research institute of the Flemish government.
Oh yes, I live in Schoten (the place where I was born 53 years ago) with my wife Ingeborg (49) and our two sons, Hans (24) and Nils (22).
In a nutshell ? I’ve a passion for ICT-services and for people, for family and for this country. And if you would like to know more about me but if you are afraid to ask you can always find more information in Bruno’s BlogBoek, in Linkedin or in Facebook.
