Bruno Segers is an independent director executing (inter)national operational mandates on a fulltime or parttime basis. Bruno Segers has had a rich career in the IT sector. After his studies as an industrial engineer, he joined PSA Antwerp, Engie and Agfa Gevaert. From the spring of 1986 he really ended up in the it biotope. First two years at Digital and then two years at Oracle. He made his breakthrough at Lotus Development where he grew into regional manager Benelux and France. When IBM took over, he became Regional Director northern Europe and then signed up to the strategy for EMEA. From April 2001 Bruno Segers returns to Belgium as country manager Microsoft Belux and was elected ceo of RealDolmen, the merger of Real Software and Dolmen, in the summer of 2007. He was also one of the founders of the research institute iMinds, which has since merged into Imec. For five years he took the job as chairman of the board of directors of Flanders Investment &Trade (FIT). Since the beginning of 2019 he was CEO of DPA, the digital platform for the legal profession, but from 2021 he will use all his knowledge, experience and network as a digital activist to actually make crucial digital transformation projects succeed and to make the world more sustainable and liveable through technology.
